Archery/Crossbow Hunting

Permits are available at the Government Center, 2nd Floor, starting the Tuesday after Labor Day.

Archery/crossbow hunting for deer within the City limits is only allowed in certain areas in the City; hunters need a City-issued Archery/Crossbow Permit to hunt in any of the areas (see maps below). There is no charge for the permit.

You must provide your customer i.d. number issued by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to get a permit
, and archery/crossbow hunting is in compliance with the DNR archery/crossbow hunting regulations and during the time periods established by them. For any questions regarding hunting regulations, please contact the Superior DNR office at (715) 392-7988 or visit the Wisconsin DNR's website.

Please note that as of September 2016, CSO #5 hunting area (in South Superior) is no longer a designated archery hunting area.
