Can a Code Compliance Officer help me with problems with my landlord or my tenant?

Yes, but only in relation to the condition of the building. A Code Compliance Officer or Building Inspector may only enter a rental unit by invitation of the landlord (with the tenant given proper notice) or a tenant who currently resides in the unit.
