Assessment Board of Review

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Assessment Board of Review to review assessments and correct any errors or omissions on the Assessment Rolls.


Property Assessments

The City Clerk conducts the annual Assessment Board of Review. State Statutes require the Board of Review to meet annually in May. 

Wisconsin State Statutes 70.46-70.48 allows a property owner to object to the assessment placed on their real estate or personal property.
To do so, the property owner files an objection form with the City Clerk, who then schedules an appointment with the Board.

Assessment Board of Review Members

The board members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. Persons interested in serving on this (or any other Board/Commission or Committee) are urged to contact the Mayor’s Office.

The Board is currently comprised of the following five citizens of the City of Superior:

    • Jeffrey B. Hanson
    • Jerry Manion
    • Charlotte Nelson
