[ARCHIVED] Microplastics Presentation and Waterlife Documentary

Sept 17. 6:30PM UWS chemistry professor, Dr. Lorena Rios Mendoza will present her research from this summer's research expedition in the Pacific Ocean looking at micro-pollutants, especially micro-plastics in oceans. She also has done research on the Great Lakes.
Sept 18, 6:30PM Waterlife documentary. Follow water through its epic journey through the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. What pollutants are added and challenges does it face? The Great Lakes are the source of drinking water, fish and emotional sustenance for 35 million people and is also under assault by toxins, sewage, invasive species, dropping water levels and profound apathy. This film is a coproduction of the National Film Board of Canada and Primitive Entertainment.
